Hi – I’m Bill Tinsley, and I grew up right here in Passaic County, NJ.
My first memory of being creative was when I was 4 years old and decided that a black marker was the perfect tool for drawing a mural on my parents hallway wall.
Fast forward 25 years later and I’m a corporate guy drawing pictures with sidewalk chalk for my young son outside our home.
Luckily a neighbor saw me and suggested I consider a tattoo apprenticeship, which I did.
At first I kept my day job and tattooed part time but eventually I could not deny my passion.
In 1997 I began tattooing full time and I have never looked back.
Every day I enjoy talking with customers and helping them make their vision a reality. I’ve been working at Starlight Tattoo team in Rochelle Park, NJ since July 2010.
